The website for the Church of England in the Stour Vale Benefice - 8 villages in the Blackmore Vale in Dorset, in Salisbury Diocese.

Our worship

There is a variety of services, with and without music, in comtemporary English (using Common Worship) and using the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer, and at different times of day, held throughout the 8 parishes each Sunday.

You are welcome to attend any of them regardless of where you live (in the parishes or outside of them).

You can find out more about the services held in each parish in that parish’s “services & celebrations” page – links below:

Benefice services

Third Sunday

On the 3rd third Sunday of each month a United Benefice Service of Word and Worship is held.

Everyone is welcome to stay for coffee after the service.

Level access, plenty of parking in front of the Church (but please leave the entrance to Church Farm clear).

The parishes take it in turn to lead this service, although it is held each month in the Benefice Centre at Christ Church, East Stour.

FifthSunday

Whenever there is a 5th Sunday there is a joint Eucharist; this service does move around the villages so please check the calendar for the location.
