Regular church-goer or not, you will be welcome at any of our events; committed Christian or enquirer all are welcome at our services. (Although St. John the Baptist is a Church of England Church, you don’t have to be a member to worship with us).

As the Parish Church of Buckhorn Weston we are here to serve all those who live in the parish and may be able to help others with connections to the village too.  If you are looking to arrange a baptism or wedding, or if you are interested in being confirmed, please contact the Benefice Administrator who will be happy to provide the information you need.

Funerals are usually arranged by the Funeral Director but we do have more information about church funerals here to help you think about what you would like.

The “where we are” page shows the location of Buckhorn Weston Church on a map, and also information for use with maps / GPS. There is some parking alongside the churchyard. Our church is usually open between 9am and 5pm each day, for those seeking a quiet space to prayer and reflect, or to look around the building.

There is a toilet available for anyone attending a service in the church.  Please ask one of the sidesmen who will direct you.

It is wonderful to have a building to worship in in which God has been praised since at least the thirteenth century, probably earlier, a reminder that the church is for people of all generations and we take our part in that continuity.

You can read more about the building on our history page. If your ancestors came from here this page may help you (nb we don’t hold old parish registers in the church – they are in the County Record Office)

However, an old building also brings a  not-insignificant task of maintenance, and we are currently part way through a large plan of renovation – contact the treasurer to make a contribution.
